George Weikum wrote on Tuesday, December 02, 2008 (PST): I bought one 11-28-08. This tractor was dynoed in the Nebraska test in the 60 s and it was the first tractor to break the 100 H.P. level. It was 101-6 H.P. for Diesel. It looks great and I m sure it will pull well. There have been 4 sell in the Midwest this year. All were nice tractors. I can be reached at 630-878-9401. todd london wrote on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 (PST):I bought my great grandfathers minnie jetstar 3 super a few years back and recentky purchased a G1000 lp, I raise a small herd of beef cattle and these tractors do all the chores my 5 year old loves them and wants one of his own so he can do chores also, these tractors just never quit.

Terry Anderson wrote on Thursday, February 19, 2004 (PST):I spent a few summers on our MM g706. Hand clutch and turning break. My dad picked it up sometime in the mid-70's not sure of the tractor year. He bought a second 706 in the late 70's and ran both of them until he retired. We still have one of them sitting on the now vacant farm. Recently someone was inquiring about buying it. Not sure of the value. I believe it was partially parted out (engine head) a number of years ago. But as far as I know everything else is still there. Would anyone be able to recommend a value.
Sam Seaton wrote on Saturday, January 17, 2004 (PST): I used a G-706 with propane fuel and front wheel assist from 1970 till 1979 pulling 6-18 inch oliver plow also pulled an 18 foot wing disk. Great tractor. Still is! We only show it at county fair shows now. Only real draw back was it does not turn real sharp, no PTO, and propane tank is a little small, but a REAL WORK HORSE!

Ted Arndt wrote on Saturday, February 22, 2003 (PST):I've got a G707, bought it used in '76. I've used it to do all the field work, disking, cultivating, knifing, everything. It worked fairly good, a little clumsy when cultivating corn, so you had to be careful on 30" rows. The only thing I've had to change on the engine was the fuel pump but everything else is original, and it's still running, and I've still got it. It was a damn good tractor for what I need. I'm crazy about the old MM tractors and working to restore 3 of them, GB, UTU, and a UB (they're all gas engines). It's work but I like it.

Joe Haffner wrote on Saturday, March 30, 2002 (PST):In 1961 my brother Dan & I bougth a Moline G 706 it was from a show inDes Moines IA & prairie gold & red ( instead of brown) it had a Ellwood front axle ( like under a army 6X6truck ) it was LP gas & pulded a 6-16 plow . We dualed the front & it pulled & rode better . I have one of the later axles now ?? Joe SE Iowa

rythking wrote on Sunday, June 11, 2000 (PDT):a couple years back my uncle got a case IH 7110 with a woods batwing mower stuck in a small gulley and our first choice in pulling it out was MM G706 LP. we positioned the MM on a ridge in front of the stuck vehicle and hooked on with heavy duty log chains. The MM roared as she pulled against the weight, but unfortunately, the stuck 7110 was no match for the "old pig" as we call it. All four wheels on the MM bit and clawed, but it only managed to dig itself into the ground. we had to jerk it forward and backwards in order to get it out of the holes it dug for itself. Needless to say, we resorted to a bigger tractor, a Case IH 9270 4wd articulated - which had not problem freeing the mower tractor. However, I still like the MM - its a great old tractor

IT SERVED HIM FAITHFULLY FOR MANY YEARS. EVENYUALLY HE BOUGHT ANOTHER SECONDHAND ONE. THESE TRACTORS WERE AVAILABLE ON 23X26 OR 15X34 TYRES BUT TI WAS POPULAR OUT HERE TO FIT 23-1X30 TYRES WHICH MADE THEM CONSIDERABELY FASTER. REMEMBER THE GVI WHICH WAS THE MODEL BEFORE.AND ALMOST IDENTICAL BUT REVED A BIT SLOWER? MY NEIBGOUR BOUGHT TWO LAST MONTH, ONE IS A GOER THE OTHER NOT, HOWEVER THE ONE WHICH GOES HAD NOT BEEN GOING FOR ABOUT 25 YEARS ACCORDING TO ITS PREVIOUS OWNER. MY FRIEND PAYED $400-00 FOR THE TWO NOT BAD DONT YOU THINK?

Art Parry wrote on Sunday, August 29, 1999 (PDT):I purchased a G706 Diesel several years ago and it is the most reliable starting tractor I have. I have used it to pull my plow disc and smoothing disc as well as run a blower and silage bagger. Although it does not have a live pto or 3 point hitch and has a hand clutch instead of a foot clutch, this does not really matter when doing tilling work, which is what this tractor is best at. The engine is incredibly reliable and even at idle will pull enormous loads if they have to be moved slowly. The tractor has five speeds forward and one reverse, it has no ampli-torc. Mine is equipped with 18.4-34 rear tires and 11.2-24 front tires. The coleman type front axle does not allow for very tight turns but is mechanically quite sound.
Andrew Steffl wrote on Friday, June 25, 1999 (PDT):I logged hundreds, if not thousands of hours on a MM G-705 pulling either a 5-bottom plow, a 16 ft. chisel plow, a 30 foot field cultivator, or a 35 foot harrow during the 1970's. My information is strickly from memories of about 25 years ago, so I can't assure complete accuracy. The G-705 was identical to the G-706, minus the mechanical front wheel assist. I believe these tractors had a 504 cu. in. in line 6 cyl. engine that produced 101 horsepower at about 1600 RPM. It was a very heavy tractor (with fluid in the tires and 1000 lb weights on each rear wheel). As I recall, the tractor had 5 speeds forward and 1 reverse, single hydraulics, and a "hand clutch" rather than a foot pedal. My father's G-705 had no P.T.O. The tractor was quite clumsy (in the area of manuverability) when compared to something like a JD 4020, but could outperform many tractors of comparable horsepower in heavy pulling jobs due to its weight and what must have been a lot of tourque developed by the engine. The MM G-705, a JD 820, and a "home-made" FWD tractor (we called it the "Yellow Monster"), with Farmall W-9 rear-ends and a salvaged 220 HP, 855 cu. in. Cummins Diesel 6-Cyl. were the primary work-horses on my father's farm until about 1970, when he purchased his first of many Versatile FWD tractors, a D-145.
